Oslo Peace Scholarships 2009 in Master of International Affairs

The Graduate Studies in International Affairs (GSIA) program in the
ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, in partnership with the
International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) and Bjørknes
College, offers one scholarship each year for full-time study in the
Master of International Affairs specialising in Peace and Conflict
Studies degree program. Tuition fees will be covered by The Australian
National University and Bjørknes College; and students will receive
some funding towards living costs as a stipend.

The program brings together academics at the forefront of
international relations, peace, and conflict research from two sides of
the globe. Students spend one semester at Bjørknes College in Norway
with faculty from the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo
(PRIO) pursuing courses in Conflict Resolution and Peace-Building,
Ethics of Peace and War, and Gender and War. The international
relations courses are taken at ANU in Canberra. Participants have full
access to the specialist libraries of the Nobel Institute and PRIO.

* Canberra: A$6,200 – in fortnightly payments* Oslo: NOK 30,000

Tuition Fee
*  Canberra: A$12,000 (international students) or A$8,400 (Australian  or New Zealand students)
*  Oslo: NOK 40,000

Maximum Duration: 2 sessions/semesters full-time
